Run Flue agentic apps on exe.dev

Deploy on exe.dev

Shelley handles the setup.

Prefer a terminal?
curl -fsSL https://exe.dev/deploy/flue/prompt.txt | ssh exe.dev new --prompt=/dev/stdin

Flue is an agentic app framework for building AI agents that run code, manage files, and serve web apps.

Flue agents need a sandbox to execute code safely. Our exe.dev VMs are ideal for this because they are isolated by default, with a protected, authenticated HTTPS endpoint, SSH access, and persistent storage.

The exe.dev sandbox connector gives your Flue agent a full Linux VM over SSH + SFTP, with optional auto-creation and cleanup via the exe.dev API.

To wire it up, pipe the connector install prompt into your coding agent:

flue add https://exe.dev/flue/exedev.md --category sandbox --print | claude
flue add https://exe.dev/flue/exedev.md --category sandbox --print | codex

The connector source is at https://exe.dev/flue/exedev.ts.

What you get#

  • A full Linux VM for your Flue agent, over SSH + SFTP

Deploy with Shelley#

Click Deploy and Shelley will set up Flue on a new VM, then check that it works. No config-file wrangling required.

curl -fsSL \

  | ssh exe.dev new --prompt=/dev/stdin
What Shelley is told
Set up Flue on this VM by following the exe.dev recipe at https://exe.dev/deploy/flue.md from top to bottom.

The recipe's example VM name is my-flue. This VM's name is the output of `hostname`: use it wherever the recipe writes my-flue. Skip the step that creates the VM; you are on it.

You are done when all of these are true. Check each one yourself:
- The exe.dev sandbox connector wired into your Flue project
- A full Linux VM for your Flue agent, over SSH + SFTP

Work in a Flue project on this VM: ask me for its Git URL, or offer to
start a new one. Wire up the connector as the recipe shows, and follow
the connector's own instructions for keys and tokens, asking me before
you create any.

Finish with the URLs I should open.

Also at /deploy/flue/prompt.txt. The recipe it follows is /deploy/flue.md.
